1. What SIFTed.Options is
SIFTed.Options is a software tool. It filters and scores publicly available options market data according to criteria you choose, and shows you what matched. It also publishes general educational material, a simulated trading record, and calculators that work on numbers you type in.
It is not a broker or dealer, not a registered investment adviser, and not a financial planner. It does not hold your money, does not connect to a brokerage, and cannot place an order for you.
2. Nothing here is advice
Nothing on this site — no screen result, score, alert, strategy note, bot position or calculator output — is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, or a solicitation to do so. Everything is published the same way to everyone who can see it and is not tailored to your finances, goals, experience or tolerance for risk.
3. Every trade is your own decision
Any trade you place, in any account, is your own choice and your own responsibility. That includes a trade that resembles something the screener showed, something the SIFT Bot held, or something described on a strategy page. You decide whether to trade, what to trade, how much, and when — and you bear the outcome, whether it is a gain or a loss.
You confirm that before trading options you have read the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options and that you understand you can lose more than the premium you receive, and more than your initial investment.
4. No liability for losses
To the fullest extent the law allows, SIFTed.Options, its owner, and anyone who works on it are not liable to you for any loss or damage — including trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, or losses caused by data that was wrong, late or missing, by an error in a score, a screen, the SIFT Bot or a calculator, or by the service being unavailable — arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything on this site.
This applies whether the claim is made in contract, negligence or otherwise, and whether or not we were told such a loss was possible. Where the law does not allow liability to be excluded entirely, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
5. The data and the score
Market data comes from third parties and is shown with the freshness it arrived with, which is labelled on every scan. Quotes can be delayed, indicative, or wrong. The SIFT Score ranks contracts against a fixed, versioned set of criteria; a higher score is not a prediction of profit. Past results of the screen, the bot, or any market are not a guide to future results.
6. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done through your account. Tell us at once if you believe it has been used without your permission. One person per account; access is for your own personal use and may not be resold or redistributed.
7. Plans, trials and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly and start with a free trial, as shown on the plans page. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period already paid for. Downgrading or cancelling never deletes anything you built — screens and watchlists over the new limit stay readable; you simply cannot add more.
8. Records we keep
When you accept these terms, or the terms of any feature that asks separately, we record which version you accepted, when, and the network address and browser the acceptance came from. That record is kept for as long as your account exists and is not changed afterwards. Otherwise we store your name, your email address and your mobile number, so that we can reach you about your account; your date of birth, because the service is for adults (the number and the date are stored encrypted, and only the year of birth is used, in aggregate, to understand who uses SIFTed); a one-way hash of your password, never the password itself; and what you build in the product. We do not ask for, or keep, anything about your brokerage account or your finances, and we do not sell or share your details with advertisers.
9. Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, you will be asked to read and accept the new version before continuing. Continuing to use the service after that is agreement to the new terms.
These terms sit alongside the disclaimers, which describe the risks of options trading in more detail. Questions: contact us.
